Hey guys, here is another update from the Sneezy’s!!! Our
day started at 5:30 this morning. Some of us had a hard time getting up out of
our warm sleeping bags because of the 40 degree weather. After V rounded
everyone up, we left Lee Vining, CA, and began the journey to Salt Lake City! On
the bus, campers were treated to watching Paul Blart: Mall Cop and The Goonies.
Meanwhile on the van, everyone took their daily morning nap (as usual!). For breakfast this morning we had bagels with
cream cheese and fruit smilesJ,
with apple juice or fruit punch. All the girls and some of the guys have found
an interest in making friendship bracelets (perfect for our long drive!). We
took a break at the Flying J to use the restrooms and fuel the vans right
before lunch. For lunch we had sandwiches with a variety of toppings, including
peanut butter, nutella, marshmallow fluff, and jelly. For our sides we had
grapes, cookies, and pretzels. We finally arrived in Utah in the afternoon and
took a pit stop at the salt flats. It’s a TWB tradition to lick the salt when
we get to the salty land. The salt didn’t have a pleasant taste and the smell
was atrocious! We made it out alive and made a pit stop at Wally World for the
cooks to gather dinner and breakfast for tomorrow. We arrived in Tooele, Utah
at 8:15pm. For dinner we had delicious turkey wraps with chips, celery, carrots,
and patriotic cookies. After our delicious meal and quick showers, we had a group
meeting and had time to celebrate Georgia Queen’s birthday before heading to
bed.
