Day 16: Jackson Hole, Wyoming; Grand Tetons; Yellowstone!
Hey Guys!!! Sneezys giving y’all insight about our adventure
in the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. Before we start off our day, Happy 16th
Birthday Briana Pratt!!! We started the day off at 5am and boy was it chilly this
morning waking up. Some wanted to probably stay in their warm sleeping bags or
maybe some just did not want to leave cold bear lake from all the fun we all
had the day before.
Once everyone got a move on it and got their stuff packed
and put under the bus and the sleeping stuff in the van trailer, we were ready
to start our adventure! After 2 hours on the road we had to wake up our friends
and let them know its time to use the restroom. Once everyone used the restroom
and everyone was back on the bus or vans we had a scrumptious breakfast. We had
Bagels(plain or blueberry) with cream cheese (plain, strawberry, or honey) with
our bagels we had apple juice. After breakfast was devoured by hungry teens and
staff members, we rode another 2 hours we were finally in our first stop of
the day JACKSON HOLE!!!
We took some fun pictures at the big arch with 8,000
antlers, and then we headed down to the Shirt off my back store
and many friends bought tee shirts and gifts for some family members! When
everyone was done making their purchase we were sent off and had to be back at
the bus at 12. Some people went and got some lunch and some others stopped at
the thrift store and got some apparel for the rodeo tomorrow!
At 12 it was time
to head over to the Grand Tetons or as Grant Deaton likes to call them Grant
Deaton’s! When we arrived at the Grand Tetons we stopped at the Chapel of Transfiguration to share some songs and stories of life with friends. We the gave hugs and took pictures with the Grand Tetons. Once again
the bus and vans were both loaded up and we were of to our next stop
Yellowstone to see Old faithful.
After riding in the bus and vans we were at
the spot of Old Faithful we had time to shop before she was go off. We walked
over to the general store to buy some more items and some got yummy ice cream!
Once we were done, one at a time we walked over to Old Faithful and anxiously
awaited for her to go off. Around 6:18, she went off and boy, it was beautiful.
When she was done we all gathered to take a group picture around the Old
Faithful sign. Once we took our picture we went to the Old Faithful lodge to
play with the tourists. We walked in went up to the 3rd level and V
said Caw, Baby-caw and we said it loud and after we said that we said Jeyyyess. You
guys should of seen the confused looks on the tourists faces, it's a TWB Trip 2 inside joke thing.
After visiting Old Faithful and the lodge, we were off to the Paint Pots, another famous part of Yellowstone. We even got a tour by a past
participant who is now a park ranger, Johnson, from Denmark. He looked just like
Doctor Jackson but he told us the he was in the back and we could not see him.
After our tour with “Johnson” we or now on our journey to where we our
sleeping. While on our drive we saw bison, baby bison, Elk, a bear, even
tourists were spotted. As we are headed to our campsite in Cody, Wyoming, we are getting really
excited to go White water rafting and the rodeo tomorrow. Sneezy's signing off
for the last time and handing it over to the Happy's, who will see you
tomorrow!
