Day 20- Kansas

Day 20- The Kansas Drive

Hello, we have new Bloggers today!! We are the Grumpy’s:  Samantha V, Keegan I, Imara H, Adyson H, Parker R, Nick A, OJ B, Nathan B, AJ C, Mallory G, Avery L, Jenna R, Rachel W and Meredith W!!!!! We are super excited to be the last bloggers!! (last bloggers, best bloggers ;))

Today we started off our day at around 5:30am. We woke up at Colorado College, packed up, and left as quickly as possible. We left the campus at 6:30 and headed to Wal-Mart so the cooks could pick up our breakfast. When we got there, most people grabbed breakfast from McDonalds. We loaded back on the bus around 7:45am. On the bus we started the movie, Rocky, and most people fell asleep but the cooks were hard at work preparing breakfast. When V told them it was time,  they served us yogurt, granola, donuts, and bananas.

We stopped right at the Kansas border at a rest stop. Then we loaded back on the bus and finished the movie, Rocky. While the bus was watching a movie, the Vans were jamming to early 2000s and making conversation. We started the movie, The Princess Bride, and started making bracelets. Then V told the cooks it was time to start lunch. They served turkey wraps, carrots, chips, and cookies. It was a yummy lunch (thank you Sneezys).

After lunch, we stopped at another rest stop and switched seats on the bus. After our switch, we continued watching the movie, The Princess Bride, and went to see an Oil rig. We pulled up on a random person's property and walked down to the oil rig. We got about 25 feet away from the oil rig and posed for a picture. Grayson did his research and then we headed back to the bus. We finished up The Princess Bride and we all fell asleep to be awoken by V on the bus, making the weirdest noises into the microphone. She wouldn’t stop till we all woke up.

We arrived at Kansas University and took pictures on the sign. Jordan and KJ did their research and then we were on our way to Wal-Mart, for the second time today. V told us that Trip one had a hard time with mosquitos so when we got there we all ran to find insect repellant bracelets.  While we were looking for bracelets,  the cooks were shopping for our dinner tonight and meals for tomorrow. We all got back onto the vehicles and headed to our campsite in Manhattan, Kansas.

When we got there, we had a group meeting and set out our stuff. The cooks started cooking dinner and everyone else just hung out around the campsite and explored the lake and campground. Dinner was served around 8 and we had burrito bowls. After dinner the phones were brought out and each group called their parents to let them know that we will be home on Tuesday at 5 o’clock. We can’t believe that our trip is almost over L. Tonight we are having an Auction held by the Sleepy’s from our lost and found. After the Auction, we are having a group sing along and one of our own group members, Parker Riley, is singing a solo. You will hear from your favorite bloggers, the Grumpy’s, again tomorrow. See yall soon!!!
