Day 7- Las Vegas

Day 7: VEGAS BABY

Hey friends and family, its actually the Dopey’s last day doing the blog. Today we woke up to a beautiful sunrise at 5:00 A.M. From there we started our day with breakfast that included sausage and pancakes. This morning was a slower moving morning; we pulled out of the Grand Canyon at about 9:45 A.M. We were happy to sleep in a little bit at the Grand Canyon. It was another cold night, but we survived!! Then we were off to Las Vegas, Nevada.  After a 6 hour ride we arrived in Vegas at 3:45 pm, while eating a peanut butter and jelly lunch with a side of apples and chips on the bus. As soon as we got off the bus we all headed over to Caesars Palace to take a group picture and then we were sent off to explore in small groups. We had 8 hours to explore Vegas tonight, as our bus driver Tim, has to get a full 8 hours rest before our over night drive. This is the longest any TWB group has stayed in Vegas so far, lucky us!!

We saw the Eifel Tower, the Space Needle, and New York, New York and many other hotels and beautiful buildings and fountains. While walking the strip you will see many strange but interesting things and people, some of which included, showgirls dressed in police uniforms and feathers, half nude men, and people dressed as show and movie characters. All of these people charge you to take pictures of or with them, and will get mad if you don't tip them after taking pictures.  After walking the strip for 8 hours and getting dinner at different places, and shopping for souvenirs, and watching the light water show, we met at the bus at 11:45pm. After this we spent the whole night driving to Santa Monica Beach where we arrived at 6am. Some of us slept well, some of us did not, lol! We are happy to be spending the day shopping and exploring Santa Monica. Sending love your way, the Dopeys.
