Day 9: DISNEYLAND!
Hello friends and family. Today we visited the happiest
place on earth, Disney Land. This morning we were awakened at 3:45a.m. to
unplanned sprinklers soaking almost everything. Everyone had to run into the
street with all of their things and eventually most of us with somewhat dry
stuff went back to sleep, while others began the day drying all of their
belongings with hand dryers. After everything was dried and ready to go, we left for Disney Land.
As we drove to the park everyone was buzzing with excitement. We enjoyed
bananas and bagels while discussing our plans for the day. We finally arrived
at Disney Land, took our famous big group picture, and headed to the Pirates of the Caribbean ride as a group.
Before splitting up, we also rode Thunder Road and Indiana Jones rides all together, too.
Then we began
our twelve-hour journey through Disney Land. We explored Disney Land’s newest
Star War’s themed park, Galaxy’s Edge. Everyone loved it!! Eventually we got
hungry and stopped for lunch both inside and outside of the park. Inside broke
the bank... sorry parents. Once returning from lunch, we continued our adventure
exploring California. We went shopping, rode roller coasters, and enjoyed
Disney’s classic churros and Dole whip. To occupy ourselves while waiting for
rides, considering we have NO phones, we played games, sang, told stories, and
enjoyed each other’s presence. A lot of us also got TWB leather bracelets made, a Trip 2 tradition. At this point it was getting later and food was
number one priority, yet again. Some of us decided on different things to do
for dinner like eat outside of the park and McDonalds or iHop but some of us
decided on eating in the park. A group of us went to Pizza Planet and to our
surprise, one whole pizza was $40! In the end we all had a great day at the
world's favorite playground!! Till tomorrow America!

| The counselors laid out all our tarps, thermorests, sleeping bags, blankets and pillows for us while we were at Disney so our stuff could dry! It took them 3 hours, crazy!! How nice of them :) |
